Naivety She wanders alone, meandering through the daisy meadow with a lazy smile playing across her lips. The green grass grows tall and free, obscuring her bare feet and gently tickling her knees. It sighs with the wind, the gentle ripples reflecting the peace of her relaxing, sun drenched surroundings. Although at ease, she places each step carefully - lightly searching for the soft earth before allowing all her weight to claim the spot completely. Trapped I lie on my bed, in the dark, alone. I know I should be sleeping, but my mind refuses to let me rest. It is already partially corrupted by the evil that presents itself to me each night. The Evil hides somewhere, deep beneath the surface; it has taken a hold on my body and tortures me each night; Forcing me to dwell on memories I’d rather forget, picking out every unbearable moment and forcing them upon me, all at once.
